Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidenced based therapy that can be used for clients diagnosed with ADHD, and more. CBT modifies negative core beliefs about self and others, unhelpful thoughts, unhelpful behaviors, and unhelpful emotions. CBT can be used to teach skills to organize, remember, and increase attention span. CBT is a short term therapy that is used in 5-20 sessions.
*To get a formal diagnosis of ADHD, research shows that proper clinical testing must be completed by a clinical psychologist. Your therapist will recommend clinical testing if there are some symptoms to suggest ADHD to either rule ADHD in or to rule ADHD out. Anxiety and ADHD look similar in adults and children/teen, and children, teens, and adults can be diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and ADHD.

Parent Skills Training
Parents are children's best teachers!
Parenting skills training is Parent Management Training Oregon Model (PMTO)-Informed therapy that is evidenced based, and the therapy recognizes the vital role parents play as being the primary change agent within their family. Parents are supported by a therapist as they learn skills to provide appropriate care, instruction, and supervision for their children. Parenting skills training is for children 3-17 that struggle with behavioral issues (ODD/Conduct Disorder) such as noncompliance, aggression, defiance, hyperactivity (ADHD), substance use, and school failure. All interventions will be catered to your child's age.
